mod*mom giveaway :: 5 mineral fusion fresh face starter kits $600+ value

whole foods is offering mineral fusion fresh face starter kits $122.50 each benefitting pink united, a nonprofit organization that supports the fight against breast cancer. the kits include 2 pressed bases in 2 different shades for blending, a duo bronzer with a sheen glow + matte finish, a kabuki brush + hydration mist.

for october, they're offering mineral fusion fresh face starter kits for $20!!!
(the brush alone costs $28.99, so this is a great opportunity to get started)

i found out about mineral make up the hard way. i hadn't worn make up in about 4 years + tried some plant-based foundation, not knowing i was allergic to one of the myriad ingredients + i had a very bad allergic reaction.
some mod*mom readers recommended mineral based makeup + i LOVE it.

to enter to win a mineral fusion fresh face starter kit, watch the mineral makeup video podcast, leave a comment on the podcast with http://modmom.blogspot.com in the "website" field so they can track your participation, then leave a comment on this post before midnight, monday october 29

Great video. I am looking for some new mineral makeup. I really like the the mist. My face looks dry when I use my mineral makeup. That mist could really help

By Blogger lace, at 10/05/2007 7:34 AM

Good information, I'd love to try it.

By Blogger Christina, at 10/05/2007 8:15 AM

I think that this is a great product and I can't wait to try it!

By Blogger Unknown, at 10/05/2007 9:02 AM

I bet that makeup feels awesome on your skin! Next time i get to go to wholefoods i might pick up a little something for myself.

By Blogger anavarre1331, at 10/05/2007 9:54 AM

Wow what a great product I am definitely going to try this make-up. I love the fact that it's good for your skin instead of the opposite like most make-ups. Thanks for sending this podcast my way !

By Blogger MadMom, at 10/05/2007 10:23 AM

I have my fingers crossed! I'd love to try this!

By Blogger Brooke, at 10/05/2007 10:38 AM

That was educational too! I like the techniques she uses to apply makeup without having to touch your face.Specifically liked the foundation which didn’t make the model look “overdone”. I like the concept of minerals since natural is SO much better for skin (especially as an everyday substitute).

By Blogger Resh, at 10/05/2007 11:06 AM

Holy smokes! This stuff looks awesome!

By Blogger Deb, at 10/05/2007 1:03 PM

I would love to try this out since I am hopeless with makeup but the nearest Whole Foods is four hours away!

By Blogger Superdumb Supervillain, at 10/05/2007 1:45 PM

I just started using Arbonne mineral makeup and like it okay. I have to use the concealer also. Would be interesting to try this brand too. Thanks for the cool giveaway!

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 10/06/2007 2:53 PM

Hey I posted on the podcast and put your blog in the website line. I really like the podcasting concept for their store.

By Blogger Bebemiqui, at 10/06/2007 4:56 PM

Always interested in trying new products!

By Blogger Stephanie Hatzenbuehler, at 10/06/2007 5:08 PM

Sounds great! I've never tried mineral make-up before. I have Rosacea and my face is quite dry. This sounds like a safe product for my skin to try! Love that it's good for your skin and natural!

By Blogger Doreen, at 10/06/2007 5:18 PM

What a great contest. U rock!

By Blogger LuAnn @ BackPorchervations, at 10/07/2007 3:22 AM

I love mineral makeup also and have been switching over all of my products slowly. I'm interested to try this kind!

By Blogger Heather, at 10/07/2007 11:14 AM

I'm really excited about trying this! I've had a terrible time with any and all products on my face, with incredibly sensitive skin. On my wedding day, I broke out in hives all over my face from a "calming moisturizer" - the makeup artist was in tears and so was I! I can't use most moisturizers, face washes, make products, etc., even if they say "sensitive skin" on them. My skin is a little beyond that! It makes it very unexciting to get myself all dressed up. I think that this would be a good chance to branch out a little, and it seems that they have up-to-date colors, so I can stay in the loop a bit more with my make-up, for once!

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 10/07/2007 11:41 AM

I love mineral make-up!! This gift would be wonderful!

*I watched the video & commented there as well.

By Blogger FENICLE, at 10/07/2007 2:09 PM

As you can see from my blogger name, I have fair skin with dark freckles. Finding a foundation that doesn't look ridiculous is just impossible, so I go without. I would love to try this:)
Thanks for bringing it to my attention!

I left a comment there.

I am starting to get age spots on my face that regular foundation doesn't cover. I'd love to try this!

Love to hear about new stuff with natural makeup. Hey! If you're going to eat natural food, why not use natural stuff on your skin?!?

I LOVE Whole Foods! These products look great!

I've tried some of the skin care products and I really like them!

By Blogger Rockin' Mama, at 10/12/2007 3:24 PM

Unlike most woman shoes or purses isn't my obsession, its makeup, I really enjoyed watching the podcast and found some techniques very interesting and will try them. I would love to try this makeup because I love the natural look with makeup instead of looking way to made up. Thanks.

Thanks for the link to the Whole Foods podcast on mineral makeup. I have tried the Loreal mineral makeup but some days it makes my skin look dry. I never thought of using a mist!

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 10/18/2007 6:11 AM

I did all you asked...gladly. Thank you for the link to the podcast, I actually learned from it! lol.

I would love to win this!

Ironically, it was other reader's posts at Whole Foods that alerted me to your blog (which I mentioned on the Whole Foods blog).

I think that's some sort of yin-yang of blog referrals, isn't it? Anyway, I'm happy to learn about both.

Two new, fun discoveries? A great way to end a less-than-stellar week. Have a great weekend!

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 10/19/2007 6:52 AM

I am such a huge fan of Whole Foods! I'd love to try this and my face absolutely needs it! Please randomly select me!

I'm a HUGE fan of mineral makeup, but have been in the market for something new. I've never heard of this brand, but def looks like it's worth a shot! I'm super interested in the face spray.

By Blogger Amber, at 10/29/2007 7:59 AM

Hmm, cool. I've been wondering what the big deal was with mineral makeup. Now I should go, as I've got to rush out and get me some!

By Blogger Carmen, at 10/29/2007 8:13 AM

I loved that video! I have heard so much about mineral makeup these days and it was great to hear about their products and how to apply them. I hope I win!

By Blogger Brit, at 10/30/2007 11:28 AM

Thanks for the link to this video! I have been looking around at the different mineral makeup products out there. I have sensitive skin and have just quit wearing liquid makeup. I now wear just powder but don't get the coverage. Lots of good tips here for application!

I have been nervous about plunking down the money for a set just to find out if I like it, so this giveaway would be a god-send.

By Blogger Shama-Lama Mama, at 11/02/2007 11:23 AM

pick me, pick me! I'm a mom to three boys under three... I need a good makeup that easy to wear and easy one my skin! SO PLEASE!!!!!!
